Classes Suspended but Learning
Continues
In view of the outbreak of the Severe Acute Respiratory
Syndrome (SARS) in Hong Kong, schools and universities have suspended
classes and this would affect the normal teaching and learning process.
To assist students to continue learning during the school suspension
period, this Virtual Integrated Teaching & Learning Environment
(VITLE) platform is provided for free to schools to breakthrough
the limitations of physical classrooms. With VITLE, teaching and
learning can still continue in virtual classrooms in cyberspace!
This action to counteract the impact of SARS on students' learning
is organized by Dr. Alex Fung, Head of Education Studies Department,
Hong Kong Baptist University, and co-organized by the Hong Kong
Daily News, with the kind support and sponsorships from Cellwise
Technologies Limited, Macromedia HK Limited, Microsoft HK Limited,
and Powernet Internet Group.
Schools and students are welcome to apply
for registration to use VITLE.
